Weak Incentives Deliver Weak Results

There are four primary reasons why people do not accomplish that which they profess to want so desperately.

  1. They really didn't want it that bad.
  2. They didn't think they deserved it.
  3. They didn't believe it was possible.
  4. They didn't break the thing down into manageable portions.

If the failure is owing to number one, then incentives and motivation are the issue.
